Choices Clinic Conifer (9 weeks pregnant or under)
We will arrange a nurse-led pre-assessment (which could be over the phone if appropriate or at one of several clinics) followed by an ultrasound scan at Wilberforce Health Centre. This is to be sure of how many weeks pregnant you are and check your health so we know what treatment options you have.
- Our counsellor is available to you at any point. The nurses will arrange this for you. We encourage counselling support and you can click here for information
- All women are encouraged to have a sexual health screen as sexual and non-sexually transmitted infections can lead to complications if not diagnosed and treated.
- We will also discuss and provide all methods of contraception for after the procedure.
- If you have been a victim of assault we can arrange contact with police services if you wish. Click here for a link to local services for care after sexual assault.
- If you have been a victim of domestic violence we can arrange specialist support. Click here for a link to local support services
- We can make arrangements for interpreters and disability support
If you have a significant medical problem, your nurse will arrange contact with a senior clinician to tailor your care. This may influence the methods of termination available to you.
We can offer medical termination by the medical route (tablets). You can plan to lose the pregnancy in either a clinic or home setting.
