Premature Ejaculation (P.E.)

Premature Ejaculation (P.E.) is believed to be one of the most frequently reported sexual dysfunctions.

It can be defined as 'the inability to control ejaculation, which occurs most of the time, causing frustration and disappointment to a man and his partner'.

Some research suggests that P.E. occurs before penetration or only lasting 1-2 minutes after penetration.

Normal ejaculatory time is thought to be between 3-7 minutes.

Ask yourself these questions:

  1. Do you believe you have P.E.
  2. Do you ejaculate before penetration?
  3. Do you ejaculate within 1-2 minutes after penetration?
  4. Do you and/or your partner feel bothered, annoyed or frustrated by your P.E.?
  5. Is your P.E. affecting your relationships?
  6. Do you sometimes avoid sex because you are embarrassed?

If you answer YES to most or all of these questions ask your doctor to be referred to the Sexual Dysfunction Clinic.
