Walk In Information

  • When you arrive at reception, you will be handed a form to complete and return to the reception team. Please let us know if you need any help completing the form.

  • You will be triaged by one of our nurses who will ask you a few simple questions.

  • Depending on your answers, you will be seen by the most appropriate member of the team. This could be a support worker, nurse, doctor or a combination of these.

  • How long you have to wait will depend on how many other people are in the clinic, what they are being seen for and who you are being seen by.

  • An approximate waiting time will be written on the reception whiteboard. Please speak to a member of the reception team if you have been waiting longer.

  • Please do not leave the waiting area if you are waiting to be called. If you are not there when we call your name, you will be marked down as 'did not wait' and discharged from the walk-in clinic.

  • If you are unable to sit and wait today, please ask the reception team to speak to the triage nurse who can look at available options.

  • Sometimes when the clinic is full, we may only be able to undertake the first triage. If this is the case, the reception team will tell you this when you first arrive and it will also be written on the reception whiteboard. The triage nurse will assess your needs and book an appropriate appointment for you.

Thank you for your patience.
